This limited edition sapphire necklace features padparadasha, yellow, pink and songea sapphire gemstones. The front features a thick cable chain with six uniquely cut padparadscha sapphire nuggets flanked by tiny yellow sapphires. Note each padparadscha nugget is rare and hand cut, therefore each will vary in size, shape and natural color blending. The necklace continues with a hammered chain, and a row of meticulously silk knotted, pink, yellow and songea sapphires. Sunsets, lotus flowers and tropical fruits are the color range of padparadscha sapphires.

Padparadscha is an ancient Sanskrit word used to describe the color of a tropical lotus flower. The word originates from the Sinhalese word for aquatic lotus blossom. Many of the stones are not evenly colored, but rather feature color zones with pink and yellow.
